VP Jalloh Urges Action against Exclusion and Social Injustice
Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has called on Sierra Leoneans to address fears of exclusion and social injustice as part of efforts to strengthen national unity and social cohesion.
He made the call on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, at the closing of the National Unity and Social Cohesion Conference at the Bintumani Conference Centre in Freetown, organised by the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC).
“One critical pathway to building trust and cohesion is to progressively address the fears of exclusion and social injustice,” Dr Juldeh Jalloh stated.
His remarks placed inclusion and fairness at the centre of the national peacebuilding agenda, as Sierra Leone continues efforts to strengthen trust among citizens and consolidate the gains made through dialogue and national reconciliation.

The Vice President also urged Sierra Leoneans to support Proportional Representation, describing it as an important basis for promoting inclusiveness and women’s representation.
He said greater participation in the country’s political processes was vital for national cohesion. His appeal reinforced the conference’s central message that lasting peace requires practical steps to ensure that citizens feel represented, included, and treated fairly.
