The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has issued a strong public warning disassociating itself from a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating in the public domain, which falsely claims that the Authority is inviting applications for casual worker positions.In an official public notice dated January 29, 2026, SLPHA clarified that the information did not originate from the Authority and described it as “false, untrue, and misleading.”According to the management of SLPHA, at no point has the Authority issued any invitation for applications for casual workers, stressing that the purported notice was fabricated and unauthorized.“The Authority wishes to inform the general public that this information is false, untrue, and misleading,” the statement said, adding that members of the public should completely disregard the notice in its entirety.SLPHA further advised job seekers and the general public to remain vigilant against misinformation and potential scams, particularly those exploiting unemployment and public trust.The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and urged citizens to rely only on official SLPHA communication channels for verified information regarding employment or recruitment exercises.
