PAOPA’S BLOODY LEGACY
…A Scar That Will Never Heal
The Julius Maada Bio-led Paopa regime may one day end, but its bloody legacy will haunt Sierra Leone forever. This administration will be remembered not for its promises of progress, but for the rivers of innocent blood it spilled across the country.
The souls of our fallen countrymen and women still cry out. Evangelist Samson—slain for daring to raise his voice. White Boy and Nurse Mahawa—gunned down in cold blood at the APC headquarters during a time meant for political freedom, not execution. Their deaths are etched into our national memory, haunting reminders of a regime that saw critics not as citizens, but as enemies.
Communities across Sierra Leone have suffered. In Tombo, Lunsar, Makeni, Mile 91, and Tonkoh Limba, citizens were brutalized, humiliated, and murdered—many for merely exercising their constitutional rights. Each death under the Paopa regime added a new layer of pain, injustice, and fear. These were not isolated incidents; they were the result of a systemic crackdown on dissent, fueled by impunity and political arrogance.
Despite it all, not a single act of accountability has followed these atrocities. No independent inquiry. No reparations. No remorse. Justice remains elusive, and Sierra Leone continues to mourn in silence.
But even in our darkest hour, hope endures. The tides are turning. Sierra Leoneans are rising—determined to reclaim their freedom, dignity, and future. The All People’s Congress (APC) stands ready to lead that charge. We must rise not just as a party, but as a people. The APC will not rest until justice is served and the suffering of our people is alleviated.
The Paopa era will be remembered for its brutality. But the next chapter—written by the will of the people—will be one of restoration, accountability, and true democratic renewal.
Let the world bear witness: we will not forget. We will not forgive. And we will not be silenced.
