One Mobile Wraps Up Special Delivery Week with High-Level Government Visits and a Vision for Nationwide Connectivity
One Mobile, Sierra Leone’s forward-looking telecom innovator, has successfully concluded a weeklong series of strategic engagements aimed at strengthening partnerships and promoting its flagship Alafia MiFi device. The campaign culminated in a visit to the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), where the team met with Director General Mr. Fuad Daboh.
During the visit, One Mobile expressed appreciation for Mr. Daboh’s leadership and discussed opportunities for collaboration in deploying intelligent connectivity infrastructure that will enhance the delivery of social security services nationwide. In a symbolic gesture, the team presented the Director General with an Alafia MiFi device.
Earlier in the week, the One Mobile team paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Communications, Technology, and Innovation, Madam Salima Bah. The team congratulated her on the successful hosting of the 2025 Government Innovation Summit and thanked her Ministry for the opportunity to launch the Alafia MiFi at the landmark event. The Minister and other senior officials also received complimentary devices as a token of appreciation.
Another key stop on the One Mobile special delivery tour was the Office of the Chief Minister, where the team met with Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister and Chief Innovation Officer. Discussions focused on bridging the digital divide, particularly in underserved rural communities.
“We’re committed to expanding our footprint to reach more remote areas with reliable, fast internet,” a One Mobile spokesperson said. “Our conversation with Dr. Sengeh reinforced the urgent need for accessible digital infrastructure across the country.”
The team also applauded Dr. Sengeh’s advocacy for youth empowerment and innovation, particularly his role in positioning Sierra Leone as one of only three African countries eligible for TikTok’s Creator Fund — a milestone for the nation’s digital economy.
As part of its outreach, One Mobile gifted the Chief Minister with the Alafia MiFi device, officially welcoming him to the growing community of Alafia users.
