Renowned female musician Mariatu Bangura, popularly known as M2 and widely celebrated as the Queen of Sierra Leonean Music, has officially announced her upcoming entertainment events slated for 3rd and 4th April 2026 in Freetown.
The announcement was made during a press conference themed “Uman Support Uman”, held on 9th February 2026 at the Salone Cubana Bar along Low Cost New Road. The event attracted journalists, media practitioners, and social media influencers from across the country.
According to the announcement, the two-day entertainment showcase will take place at Chapter One on April 3 and Sugar Loaf Beach on April 4, promising fans an unforgettable musical experience.
Speaking at the event, popular disc jockey Ibrahim Kalokoh, popularly known as DJ Kallox, delivered a brief but impactful statement highlighting M2’s remarkable journey and achievements in the music industry. He described M2 as a trailblazer whose resilience and consistency have set her apart, despite the numerous challenges she has faced throughout her career.

He also highlighted some of her most notable songs and albums, including Sweet Africa, Comforter, Hold Somebody, We Must Survive, and Congosa, describing them as works that have played a significant role in shaping Sierra Leone’s contemporary music landscape.
